These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Laplap apps ("we", "us"), the developer of the SvarLock Android application (package com.svarlock.app, "SvarLock" or "the app"). By installing or using SvarLock, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how SvarLock handles information. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Your use of SvarLock through Google Play is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. If those terms conflict with these, Google's terms govern your use of the Play Store itself.
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, to use SvarLock. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms. SvarLock is not directed at children and does not knowingly allow children under this age to use it.
SvarLock is an on-device app lock. It lets you protect chosen apps behind a PIN and, optionally, your device's biometric unlock. It detects when a locked app is opened and shows a verification screen over it. SvarLock also runs periodic background checks to keep protection running, and can optionally notify you if protection ever turns off, see our Privacy Policy for details. SvarLock does not require an account. An internet connection is needed when you buy or restore Pro through Google Play.
The free version lets you lock up to 3 apps. SvarLock Pro is a one-time Google Play purchase that removes this limit and includes future Pro features. Details, availability, and pricing may vary by country and may change.
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use SvarLock on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, in line with these Terms and the Google Play terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, resell, sublicense, or distribute the app.
This is important. Please read it carefully.
SvarLock works only if you grant the permissions it requests (such as Usage Access and Display-over-other-apps). The app explains each permission before prompting you. You can change or revoke permissions in Android Settings, but doing so may stop protection from working.
If you enable the optional uninstall (device-administrator) protection, SvarLock cannot be uninstalled or force-stopped while that option is on. To remove the app, turn off uninstall protection first. This option enforces no other device policies and does not change your device's settings, passwords, or data.
SvarLock raises a meaningful barrier in front of your apps, but no app lock can guarantee that a determined person cannot bypass it. Device manufacturers customise Android in ways we cannot control, operating-system behaviour changes over time, and rooted, modified, or compromised devices can defeat app-level protections. SvarLock is provided as a privacy and convenience tool, not as a guarantee of security, and you should not rely on it as your only safeguard for sensitive information. You remain responsible for your device's overall security (lock screen, OS updates, and physical control of the device).
We may offer, change, or withdraw features, including the free app limit and any Pro features, at our discretion. SvarLock Pro is a one-time purchase processed through Google Play Billing, and Google's payment terms apply. We do not process or receive your payment-card details.
Refunds are handled under Google Play's policies and applicable law. We do not issue refunds directly because we do not process the payment.
You agree to use SvarLock lawfully and only on devices you are authorised to control. You agree not to use the app to interfere with another person's lawful access to their own device or data, to circumvent device-management controls you are not authorised to bypass, or for any unlawful purpose.
SvarLock, including its name, design, and software, is owned by Laplap apps and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a licence to use the app; they do not transfer any ownership to you. App, brand, and product names belonging to other companies (for example apps you choose to lock) remain the property of their respective owners.
SvarLock is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device or Android version, or that it will prevent all unauthorised access to your apps. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SvarLock will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, loss of access to apps, or loss arising from a forgotten PIN or from a bypass of the lock, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) SvarLock. Because SvarLock is provided free of charge in this version, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the app (if any) or USD 10. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SvarLock from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your misuse of SvarLock or your violation of these Terms or of any applicable law.
These Terms apply for as long as you use SvarLock. You may end them at any time by uninstalling the app (disabling uninstall protection first, if enabled). We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 5, 7, 10, 11, 12, and 13) will continue to apply.
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and reflect material changes in the app's store listing. We may also add, change, or remove app features over time. Continuing to use SvarLock after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be subject to the courts of India, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your place of residence.
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
